403 on Discover Tab

Kibana version - 8.5.3 on k8s
Elasticsearch version - 8.5.3 on VM

On opening discover tab I keep getting

Error: Batch request failed with status 403
    at search_interceptor_SearchInterceptor.handleSearchError

Looks like some issue with permissions but am not able to figure out
