Basic License showing wrong expiration date

I ran the update license command on ES cluster and kibana cluster today to switch to basic license.
On kibana console it shows todays date itself as expiration date. I hope this is not the real case?
Does this mean something or is it a bug?

Downgrading from Gold licence to basic license

We have a cluster with ES 7.1 where we use gold licence. We have native authentication realm (order 0) and pki realm (order 1) as auth mechanisms. xpack.security.enabled: true in elasticsearch.yaml Now we have decided to downgrade our cluster to basic licence. So yesterday it was showing yesterdays date 17th August. Today it is showing todays date 18th August.

As the basic license never expires I wonder if today’s date is shown instead of N/A?
