Can kibana date/ time picker pick date time based on

Can Kibana date/ time picker be configured to pick date/time based on a different timestamp say the timeCreated field as seen below? The purpose is to avoid creating a filter.

Only if you created a new index pattern using timeCreated as a timestamp based

Thanks. So I deleted the index pattern and created a new pattern with the same name and this time I chose time filter field name as "timeCreated". Should that do it?
