Cannot change APM indicies in Kibana

Hello!

I'm logged in as the elastic user and I cannot change the indicies for the APM view in Kibana. I believe I set them some time ago to test something and now I cannot change them. The greyed out button tells me "Your user role doesn't have permissions to change APM indicies" but the elastic user has the superuser role.

The whole stack is in version 8.17.5.

Does anybody have an idea how to fix this or knows why the settings cannot be changed? Since I'm logged in as a superuser I assume the hint above 'Apply changes' is wrong.

I resolved the problem by replaying the request to Kibana for “Apply changes” from another space where I can still edit the indicies settings adjusted for my target space.

But I still don’t understand why I cannot change them via the UI. Even more so now since I can adjust them when I manually send the request.
