Good day.
So sorry to bother you with this trivial matter, but I can’t get into my first Kibana lab and Help Desk sent me here. They thought you might be able to help better.
Course: The course I’m taking atm is the “Elastic Security for SIEM (On-Demand)”.
I’m in module #1. Lesson #3 - Fleet Configuration.
I started the Strigo lab, registered to CTFd successfully.
I then opened the lab-machine, typed the command “cat CREDENTIALS”.
Got the credentials, opened the training link in a new window and this is where I get stuck.
The help desk had me reset the credentials with the sudo command.
I’ve tried it multiple times but keep getting the same error when logging in.
”Username or password is incorrect. Please try again.”
I’ve gone ahead and done it all fresh after deleting ALL the browsing data from Chrome and then opened an Incognito Window, but to no avail.
Is there anyone who can help here?
Again, I wish I was bugging you with a more interesting question.
With any luck, and some help, maybe I will
Good day @Tortoise.
Thank you for taking the time to reply.
As for the user name, I’ve tried both the username I created (there’s only one) as well as my email when my chosen user name wasn’t working.
As for the password, yes, I’ve tried multiple of the instances from CREDENTIALS.
As in, first one didn’t work, so I reset the CREDENTIALS, pulled them up again and tried the new ones, but had no luck.
I also tried my own chosen password as a last resort, knowing it wouldn’t work.
But, it was worth a shot.
Am I supposed to use the user name “elastic”?
Please advise
Thank you again very much for the assistance
To be clear @Tortoise, I see what you sent me. But that person, Jaydee, never replied to say the issue was solved. So I’m just double checking with you.
Will try the user “elastic” as soon as I can and keep you updated
