Changing IP on a running cluster

Hello,

We have a ELK 7.6.2 stack cluster (3 Master and 5 Data nodes) running in our Production environment.

We need to migrate the servers (Cloud VMs) to a more robust ones. This process would result in changing the IP addresses of the hosts while hostnames stay the same.

All the configuration files use hostname and not IP address.

Can a change in IP address cause any issue in the cluster?

Please note that version is EOL and no longer supported, you should be looking to upgrade as a matter of urgency.

You might run into DNS caching issues in the JVM, I think a restart allows it to update those though.
