Clarification on vCPU Credit Calculation for Coordinating Node

I’m reaching out to seek clarification on how vCPU credits are calculated in the Elastic Cloud UI. Specifically, we noticed that our coordinating node, which has 1GB of RAM, shows only 257 credits. Given the node size, we would expect the CPU credits to be higher.

Recently, we added this node to our cluster, and it seems that the displayed credits don't align with our expectations based on the instance size.

The documentation doesn't explicitly explain the credit calculation process, and we’d appreciate more details on how the credits are assigned and tracked, especially in relation to node size and usage.

Thank you for your assistance!

Hi @Wallyson_Silva Welcome to the community and thanks for trying Elastic Cloud

Please refer to this... seems pretty direct.

1GB size of node * 0.267 vCPU ratio = .267 vCPU

16 (boost value) * .267 vCPU* 60 sec = 256.32 credits

What are you expecting / what math are you doing?
