Compare 2 documents in same index

Is there a way 2 documents in the same index be compared and the diff highlighted?
For example, lets say a resource has gone through multiple updates. compare 2 revisions of this resource to find out what changed.

Based on this discussion it was suggested to create a feature request Comparing 2 docs but the below issue was closed

The issue was likely closed as it was more of a question than a feature request. It is not possible to do this with Kibana now.

I suggest re-iterating your suggestion in the closed ticket to be clear that this is a request for a new feature. It is helpful to provide a strong use case for this as well.
