Compile or rpm

(R a V) #1

Is there a perceptible improvement in the performance of the ELK cluster if it is installed by compiling instead of installing via rpm?
I thought it shouldn't make any difference whether I compile it from a archive or from a rpm. But someone here thinks otherwise.
So posting it here to get more opinions.
