Console does not provide a way to mention ES host address

I am using Kibana 5.1.1. In Console UI, there are no settings provided to specify the Elasticsearch Host address.
Is it a genuine miss?

The console that ships with Kibana only talks to the Elasticsearch that Kibana is connected to. Otherwise it would either require a complicated configuration or would serve as an open proxy that people would not realize they are hosting.
