Could not locate that index-pattern (id: false), click here to re-create it

Hi,
Could anyone check why this error encounters while creating an index-pattern in Kibana.
Provided the index got created in ES. This index is created from a .log file.
Kibana lists down the index from ES. But when creating the index-pattern hitting below error.

"Could not locate that index-pattern (id: false), click here to re-create it"

Thanks.

Hi Preethi,

This is our docs on Kibana index pattern creation: https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/current/index-patterns.html

Can you go through it and see if there is something missing?

Can you also post the screenshots of the error message and the name you are using to create the index pattern?

Thanks,
Bhavya

Hi Bhavya,

Thanks for your reply  Meanwhile, I fixed it. Its because of another index didn't found in Elasticsearch but the index-pattern exists in Kibana. So It didn't allow me to create any new index-pattern.

Thanks.

Hi Preethi,

I am trying to reproduce this in my local because this might be a bug. Can you please let me know how many index-patterns you had in Kibana?

Thanks,
Bhavya

Hi Bhavya,

I have very few index patterns in Kibana, just 10.

Thanks

Sorry did you have any progress on this??

I have lost 2 days, researching what could cause this...
I simply can't create an index pattern (id: false error)
I just have 3 index patterns at the moment, and they are all fine.
I could not relate to Preethi's fix..

Any ideas? Any help will be much appreciated

Hi there
I have the same issue. I'm unable to create a second index pattern. I use ES 6.3.2.Capture-forti1

Any help welcome
