The docs say:
The Elasticsearch Curator Python API is compatible with the 5.x Elasticsearch versions, and supports Python versions 2.7 and later.
Is this just outdated, or is it really the case the curator python api is not compatible with es 6?

It’s fully compatible with 6.x. The compatibility matrix for Curator itself, which uses the Curator API, shows this properly.
Ah, didn't see that. Thanks!
I appreciate having it pointed out. I will have to update the docs accordingly.
