Customizing roles.yml

I an following the docs here to add a custom roles to Elasticsearch (via the roles.yml) but whatever I try doesn't get applied.

Which ECK version are you using? Most probably, you are using 0.8.0 or 0.8.1 and this doc mostly for 0.9.0 which should be released soon.
