Data loss incase of elasticsearch data node going down

Hi All,

We have 5 data nodes in our cluster, out of these 2 nodes went down and it looks like , I will take at-least a week to recover it. Is there a way to work with remaining 3 data nodes and we can recover other 2 data nodes latter on.

Can I take these node out of the cluster and once everything is fine, I will add these nodes again

How much data do you have in the cluster? How much free space do you have? Are any indices in red status? Are all nodes master eligible? Which version of Elasticsearch are you using?
