Difference between Lucene used in ElasticSearch and Kibana?

What is the difference between Lucene used in ElasticSearch and Lucene used for Kibana? Or whether both work on top of single Lucene application code by integrating Elasticsearch and Kibana.

Kibana is s front end for Elasticsearch, which does all the heavy processing.

Kibana calls elasticsearch which calls Lucene.

Yes, because Kibana connects to Elasticsearch via the APIs and then queries the shards.
