Suppose i have a Line graph with a filed(Severity), which splits into two lines (Severity1 & Severity2). Now can i get a third line(Severity) which is the sum of the other two lines?

With timelion you could do something like this, but in standard line charts there is a single bucketing pipeline and no way to draw lines from multiple levels within it.
That said, the data table visualization does have an option to "Show metrics for every bucket/level", so when you have multiple bucket aggregations splitting the rows in the table it will show the metric for every level of the "tree":
