Downgrading from Gold licence to basic

Hi, I have Elasticsearch version 6.8 with a gold license in a cluster environment. We are going to update to a latest version of 8.2 and later downgrade the cluster to a basic license (we can't afford the gold at the moment)
Can you please check if the list below is enough to prepare for downgrade:

  • checking every gold features that we are using, we need probably disable it in config and be ready to operate without it.
  • ask about standard license and install it after expired.

Elasticsearch version 6.8 is EOL and no longer supported. Please upgrade ASAP.

The Basic license is included by default when you spin up a new cluster.

Which leads me to suggest that the best approach to upgrade is to start a new 8.2 cluster, then do a remote reindex to pull the 6.8 data across to it.
