Elasitc-Agent APM integration on Kubernetes

Hi,
I've got deployed elastic-agents on kubernetes (rancher in my case). How to use APM integration to make it accessible to pods in cluster? Do I need to manualy create service or is that accessible by default? What is best practice: use elastic-agent + APM integration or APM server on Kubernetes?
