Elastic basic license legal implications

Hi,

We'd like to use the basic license in a product built on Kubernetes. Is there any legal implication on using the basic license in to a saleable product?
We're currently using the oss version and we're looking on extending it to the basic license.
How can we treat the install/update of basic license for every new system deployed?

... If You [...] are interested in obtaining Elastic's permission to engage in commercial or non-commercial distribution of the Elastic Software, please contact elastic_license@elastic.co.

It's certainly possible to obtain this permission - there are already other products for sale that repackage Elasticsearch in full - but it depends on the details of your case. Send an email to the address above and we'll hopefully be able to help further.
