I have a 3 node cluster and another server running logstash. Sometimes the collect stops and the follow error appears in logstash log.The elasticsearch servers don't show this type of communication failure. After some minutes the problem normalize and the collect is established again.
Why this problem happen ? All the elasticsearch servers run with the same version (5.6) but logstash runs in the 2.4 version. It can be a network error ? Or compatibility error ?
When i visualize this exception in logstash logs nothing happens in my elasticsearch nodes...i dont see any changes in logs where i can make a relation...

# ======================== Elasticsearch Configuration =========================
#
# NOTE: Elasticsearch comes with reasonable defaults for most settings.
# Before you set out to tweak and tune the configuration, make sure you
