Elasticsearch dead but subsys locked - amazonlinux

Hi, am trying to install Elasticsearch 7.x in amazon linux, after installing and changing network.host, port, and path. I tried to start elastic search, it started, but when i check status, I got. "elasticsearch dead but subsys locked". so i deleted elasticsearch file in /var/lock/subsys, and again started .., sudo service elasticsearch start
Starting elasticsearch: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM warning: Option UseConcMarkSweepGC was deprecated in version 9.0 and will likely be removed in a future release. [ OK ]
but
sudo service elasticsearch status
elasticsearch dead but subsys locked.
How to resolve this,
