Elasticsearch Engineer - Self-Paced Learning Plan

Course: Elasticsearch Engineer - Self-Paced Learning Plan
Question: Hi there.

I've the business goal to get elastic certification. I already followd two courses but unfortunately for business reasons I had to give up them and didn't took the certifications exams but today I want to finish what I started.

For this reasons I'm trying to follow the paths certifications on a learn.elastic.co site and enrolled to the first course...

The problem - to be honest - is that I do not understand how to do the courses in the learning plan... can someone help me understand how to start the "self-paced" cousers? Or, otherwise how to "use" them?

Thanks in advance.

Fabio

Hello @fabio.iovine

Better to check Elastic Certified Engineer Exam | Elastic

*Note: An update to the Elastic Certified Engineer exam, bringing it from Elastic 8.15 to 9.3 is coming on September 1, 2026.

Exams taken in August will use the current 8.15 version. All exams on or after September 1 will reflect the updated 9.3 content - please plan your scheduling accordingly.

Could you confirm if the self paced learning plan is v9.3 & also what is the problem ? I remember for v8.15 it was Modules based & end of each Module will have Lab topics.

Thanks!!

Hallo,

thanks for your help.

I folowed the path to the course I found in Loading and I enrolled to the first available course;

after that I have the following page:

but when I press "play" it just opens an application with kibana but no instructions about what to do... I expected to find some "theory" and then the exercises...

is there something wrong I do?

as far as the version is concerned, I believe I read somewhere it is 9.x .

thanks.

Hi i am also following this course, will this course be enough to prepare for the exams or they are other things not included to consider?

Hi there, actually I don't know as wasn't able to start any of the courses... my be you can help: what happen/what you do after pressing "play"?

thanks.

Usually i launch it and then i wait for it to load it usually takes a long while to load but if it loads and gives a white screen do a hard refresh with ctrl+ r
