Elasticsearch / Kibana: How can they run 24/7?

Hi!

How can elasticsearch and kibana run 24/7?

Details:

  • I am running the elk stack on a remote server on production mode.
  • The installation was with .tar.gz.
  • I start elasticsearch running the bin/elasticsearch command, but when I close my connection with the server the elasticsearch obviously stops working.

It will depend on your specific system, but you're likely going to want to run them both as services that start when the machine boots up:

Thank you for your answer.

Since I installed elasticsearch with tar.gz, according to the documentation I can only start it with the bin/elasticsearch command and not as services that start when the machine boots up.
Have I understood correctly?
