Elasticsearch privilege to read index templates

Hello,

Is there a way to allow a user to only read (all) index templates?

I can only find manage_index_templates, which also allows create, update..

Hi Willem,

This is correct, manage template will allow all operations on templates currently (you can track Analyze and get templates index action privileges · Issue #47500 · elastic/elasticsearch · GitHub to track if this changes in the future)
