Elasticsearch upgrade from 7.9 to 8.14.3

Hi All,

We are currently running version 7.9.3 cluster in our environments. We need to upgrade to 8.14.3.

I believe its a 2 step process where we migrate from 7.9.3 to 7.17.25 and from there use "Upgrade Assistant" to migrate to 8.14.3

Steps required for this process are pretty vague.

Can someone please share the steps for me to follow for this 2 staged process?

From 7.9.3 to 7.17.25 you can do a rolling upgrade as described here.

Once you are on 7.17.25 you can follow these steps.
