Elasticsearch Upgrade from 7.17.1 to 8.4.3

Hello,

I am upgrading the Elasticsearch instance from 7.5.1 to 8.4.3 but it's not working.
I have created an Elasticsearch instance in Ubuntu 18.04 with version 7.5.1 and created a sample index and populated the data.
After that, I upgraded the instance to 7.17.1 and it's working fine.
But after that, if I upgrade to 8.4.3 it's not working.

Could you please provide step-by-step instructions to solve the issue?

Are you using the upgrade assistant for 7.17.1 to 8.4.3 as per the upgrade guide? The upgrade guides that list the appopriate steps for cloud and on-prem installations are here:

If those steps are not quite working can you share any errors that you are getting, or details on what exactly isn't working?
