ElaticSearch installation on Redhat with RPM

Hi,
Following: https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/rpm.html

Does the installation create the user elastic by default , or should i create the elastic user manually and then as user elastic execute the : sudo yum install elasticsearch ?

Regards

Hi,

When installed, the RPM creates a elasticsearch group and a elasticsearch user. You should execute the installation with root.

Hi,
Thanks for your update.

So , if i need to install with root user , why the installation guide to use : SUDO ?

sudo is a command available of most *nix distribution that allows to execute a command using privileges from another user, by default the superuser (ie root).

You can learn more on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sudo.
