Hi, Following: https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/rpm.html Does the installation create the user elastic by default , or should i create the elastic user manually and then as user elastic execute the : sudo yum install elasticsearch ? Regards

Hi,

When installed, the RPM creates a elasticsearch group and a elasticsearch user. You should execute the installation with root.
