Encrypting Hard disk that stores data as configured in path.data

If I use the dm-crypt tool for this, then will this have any impact when the index is being written to the configured location and also when the data is being retrieved using the elastic api ?

I was able to find a link on how to get this done as my elastic resides on a CentOS server.

Are there any more detailed steps specifically for Elastic servers or do we just have the follow the generic steps as mentioned in the link above ?

No, it's all transparent is taken care of by the OS's I/O layer.
