Error: Resource is under maintenance / recovery

We have hosted the ES in the ES cloud, and we got this error multiple times while doing a write operation request(POST) to one of our indices.

Elasticsearch\Common\Exceptions\ServerErrorResponseException: {"ok":false,"message":"Resource is under maintenance / recovery."}

I did a basic analysis of this error and could not get many details. What this error means and what may happen to occur this error? Is this any part of routine maintenance or any specific tasks that will run on the cloud?

Here the only thing that I can think about would be an upgrade of your cluster.
