Error unable to completely restore the url

Hello All,

I use kibana 5.5.2. When i login in kibana appears: "Error unable to completely restore the URL, be sure to use the share functionally".

Someone can help me to solve this problem.

thank you so much.

HI

I just tried 5.5.2 on my local environment and didn't face this issue. Can you attach KIbana logs when this event happens and also as a work around, can you try opening Kibana in a private window (incognito) and see if this still persists.

Let us know..
Thanks
Rashmi

Thanks a lot for the answer.
In a private window (incognito) i have the same error.
I attach KIbana logs.

Thanks

I don't see any kibana logs

HI
below the Kibana log

Hi
This error seems like an error from the url shortener

Are you using a shortened url or if there's a proxy in front of your kibana, or you are using server.basePath in kibana.yml
Please share your kibana.yml

Thanks
Rashmi

Hi,
the error would seem to result from setting a dashboard as default. Commenting the link of the dashboard the error is no longer reported.
We should also note that the shared dashboard link changes to the dashboard we want as the default. Is this a known problem? Is it solvable?

below the part of code in the file"kibana.yml" to identify the default dashboard.

# Default location
server.defaultRoute: "/app/kibana#/dashboard/5dec5470-99e1-11e7-b462-a3bd47a68a7f?_g=h@ff82bf5&_a=h@ce8f50d"7

Thanks so much.
massimo
