Export/Import index settings?

I know the 4.1 snapshots have Export/Import available for Kibana objects such as visualizations and dashboards.
However, is there any way to export/import index settings ? Specifically any scripted fields and field formatting I have applied ?

I need to be able to transfer all my settings and objects from a development platform to a test/production environment.

You can use the Snapshot and Restore functionality in ES to do this.
Not sure if the export/import in 4.1 will include this though, maybe add your thoughts to this Github issue
