Fscrawler and Elasticsearch compatibility

Useful info concerning Fscrawler plans...

What are the plans for Fscrawler plugin?
Probably not part of Elastic main path (as emphasized in deliverables for deployment ) ?
@dadoonet
Indeed. That's a personal project not maintained by elastic.
I started it way before elastic the company has been created. IIRC, I started it in 2011 as a river plugin for elasticsearch.

Many Users?
@dadoonet
That's a good question actually. I know that some people are using it for one shot operation or for testing.
A real production use case? I'm not aware and well, I suppose this is the case for most OSS projects.
I need to look at some point at the download stats.

Will your changes for ES 6.0.0-alpha2 be compatible when running ES 5.4.0 ?
@dadoonet
Yes. That's definitely the plan. It's compatible with super old versions, like 1.7, 2.4, 5.4 and 6.0 (not yet).
I'm doing IT on all those versions.

I'm not sure what is going to be the plan for 7.0 though but I'm not here yet.
