How to calculate the user growth rate in Kibana?

How can I make a growth rate from Kibana, searched for all the posted discuss, I find it could be implemented in TSVB, but I still cannot figure out how to make it...

Here is my idea:

  • I want to make day as the interval for this chart, and each point with value calculated as total unique device id occurred before this time point
  • calculate the rate with sequential divide by using current value of the point divided by the value before it.

Where can I get some information or hints, thanks!
