How to extend i18n translations?

Hi
As I realized, elk 6.7 and 7 supports simplified chinese, and for each plugin it is possible to have translation files.
I need to translate kibana core to another language and I don't know chinese.
Is there an english file which contains all messeges? So I can do the translation and maybe I can share it with elk community also.

Second link is for custom plugins, I want to translate whole kibana, I mean the main kibana. If I run node scripts/i18n_extract --output-dir ./ it will give me all messages of kibana in english?

You still may want to distribute your translations as a plugin. That plugin will contain only translations.
