How to refresh/stop shrink action

Can You help me out how I can refresh and disable shrink for indices?
during, from the devtool console I didn't find any onging actoin, but it seems that a few a indices are hanging on that steps?

Such state doesn't allow to move such data from warm to cold tier.

Based on the status message, it appears the index is trying to go from 8 shards to 21 (?) ... the shrink process is for going to a new index with fewer primary shards so this appears to be a configuration issue. For your 8 primary shards, the options would be to shrink to 4, 2 or 1 as noted in the docs.

Yes it came down to incompatibility, that's why I had to remove these indices.
