How to update kibana by keeping the visualization data intact?

Hi,

How to update kibana to the latest version by keeping the visualization data intact? I have tried rollup upgrade and observed that even though my index data is intact, the visualizations are missing. I have to re-work on enhanced table data and other visualizations.

How to avoid this in the next set of updates/Upgrades?

Hi Sujata, as of 6.5.0, Kibana performs transparent migrations between versions to keep the saved objects in the .kibana index up to date. Kibana 6.7.0 also offers an Upgrade Assistant to help you upgrade to 7.0.
