So you wish to encrypt communications between the browser and Kibana? Take a look at the ssl_*
configuration settings: https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/4.0/_setting_kibana_server_properties.html
BTW Kibana 4.0.1 is nearly 3 years old, which means it's missing a ton of features and maintenance is getting curbed down. You should strongly consider upgrading.
