I have an index template that is assigned to a couple of index patterns, however, appears to of accidentally been set up to use data streams. How can I convert this back to use indices as it is failing to process logging now until this has been resolved. I have tried to remove the index template, however, that fails due to the data streams having active streams.
I have tried to edit the template by unchecking the data stream option and saving this, left it for about 1 hour and it is still saying it is saving
Hi Craig, as you noted, templates cannot be deleted if they are being used by any data streams. If you want to edit the template to remove the data stream option, first delete any data streams that it refers to.
