I was wondering how come Graph never made it as a visualization in Dashboards.
It also has little to no improvements in the last years, is this going away?

no, Graph has not been deprecated.
It is currently an exploration tool, so it lives in within its own application.
Making it a dashboard-compatible tool would change a bit its scope into a monitoring kind, hence making it work with time ranges and other filters which are not currently supported.

Graph has never been useful to me because it feels like an isolated application with little to no value. I understand it's for exploring data but I will say that I and many others would prefer graphs for monitoring in a dashboard. Just like you mentioned, be able to see it work with time ranges and filters would be so good.
Although this is not currently supported, is this potentially on the road map?
