I can't seem to find out if Enterprise Search is open source or not.
Can I read the source code of the workplace search, before I let it scan through our private documents?
Hi Silas! Sorry if this is a disappointing answer for you, but Enterprise Search is closed source. As far as I know there are no foreseeable plans to convert it to open source.
If you're asking due to privacy concerns, rest assured all your data remains on your own self-managed instance. We also undergo the same security audits that the rest of the Elastic teams do.
