When reinstalling elk, how do I apply the existing kibana dashboard visualizations to the newly installed kibana?
All Kibana data is stored in indices in Elasticsearch (most of it in .kibana), so you can create an Elasticsearch snapshot to transfer Kibana data as well.
Another approach would be to export the parts you want to keep in Kibana (go to Management > Saved objects), and import them into the new instance.
