Kibana Dashboard & Settings automatic backup/restore

Hi,

How can backup my dashboards and other saved objects from Kibana periodically ?
I can do it manually with "saved objects" menu in "Stack Management", but would like to do it automatically through SLM (I guess with .kibana indices)?

Any idea?

Currently, the saved object export doesn't include ALL data. However, that is something we are working on.

I would recommend using the Elasticsearch snapshot/restore to backup the underlying data indices. Unless you have defined other patterns, it should be anything that matches .kibana*. If you are using reporting, it will also include .reporting-* indices.

thanks for your response. Indeed using snapshots and backup/restoring .kibana* indices works fine.
