Kibana is not working

Dear team,

I'm a new user in Kibana and it is not working in my machine, it shows the following exception:

[license][xpack] license information from the X-Pack plugin could not be obtained from Elasticsearch for the [data] cluster. AuthentificationException[unable to authenticate user[user_name] for REST request [/_xpack]...

Please help!

Thanks and best regards,
Mohammed ESSABRI

Which version of the stack are you using?

I don't know which exactly means a stack version, is it the version of Elasticsearch ? if yes, it's 1.7
The version of Kibana is the latest 6.3.0

Thank you

From version 5.0 of the stack, the Kibana version must match the Elasticsearch version, so Kibana 6.3 will not work with Elasticsearch versions prior to 6.3.

OK thank you for the reply, i'll try with that!

Dear @Christian_Dahlqvist,

Basing on this discussion, i need 4.1.x to run the latest version of kibana with my ES version 1.7 but i can't find it in Kibana releases

Thanks

Search here.

Thank you !

Dear @Christian_Dahlqvist,

I changed Elasticsearch server ip in kipana yml config but it's still trying to connect to localhost, please check the yml file below

# Kibana is served by a back end server. This controls which port to use.
port: 5601

# The host to bind the server to.
host: "0.0.0.0"

# The Elasticsearch instance to use for all your queries.
elasticsearch.url: "http://10.**.**.**:9200"

Thank you!

Is this for Kibana 4.1? If that is the case I have not used it in years, so will unfortunately not be of much help.

Yes it's 4.1, because i'm using ES 1.7 and you adviced me to use an older version

Thank you and best regards,
Mohammed ESSABRI
