Hi Im realy confiused when Im reading the documentation of security. I would like to protect the kibana with username and password. When Im reading docs there is no mention that is free or not. Only the things with AD or Ldap that Im aware are paid. So my question is it's allow it to use basic secure for free? Do I need to install aditional plugin for that if I use ELK 6.4.x?
to use Xpack-security you will need at least a gold-subscription (cf. https://www.elastic.co/subscriptions). So it's not free. You can get a free trial-license for all features for 30 days.
