Kibana Visualization with different database

Hi all,

We basically use Elasticsearch as database for Kibana.
Should we always import data to Elasticsearch?
Is there any way in which Kibana can directly read data from a database such as MongoDB and able to visualize it?

Elasticsearch is currently the only backend officially supported by Kibana.
