Hi all, I'm trying to restrict value of data entry(value) of my field to 30 characters in my kibana visualizations I think there is some advanced json method by painless to do this,but i'm unable to figure out command. Any idea on how to go about this?

You can create a scripted field with type String with Format of Truncated String to do this.
