Mixing windows and linux servers

Hi!

Does anyone know if windows and linux servers can be mixed in a cluster?

We have 2 linux servers in a cluster, however I would like to add a 3rd
windows server purely to avoid the brain split problem. i.e. the windows
server wont hold and shards. Does anyone know if this is feasible?
