ML Jobs Alerts + Hosts

Hello,
I am been using Hosts page alot in Elastic more now.
I have some ML jobs running where the influencer can be a host.
I have set up alerts but the ML alerts don't show up tied to the host like the custom threshold and inventory rule. Is this something being added soon or am I not seeing it?

Hi @erikg!

I'm interested in hearing more about what you'd like to see here? Do you have an example you can share as to what you are looking for?

Thanks!

Hey @jessgarson
I figured it out:
So currently If you use custom threshold or apm rules they allow you to see the alert in the UIs:

This also appears in Host page:

Its a real neat feature because typically some might get an alert, and then they can dive into the UIs (Hosts and Services):

My issue is that when a host is an influencer in ML job and an alert is built, it doesn't tie to this neat feature and therefore doesn't tie to the Host Page. Therefore also disconnecting alerts from entities.

So I found out that APM worked on this so it can be tied to the services:

Why is this important?
Implement workflow of getting an alert, dive into the entity (host/app) and use the UIs provided by Elastic to troubleshoot.

Or look at the UIs and dive into the alerts per Entity and be able to see whats happening to a host or to an application.

Also, it makes a more concise product.

The resolution:
I created a feature request for a Host Anomaly rules
[Alerting] Host Anomaly Alert · Issue #224765 · elastic/kibana

Thanks for sharing this, @erikg! Glad you figured it out and created a feature request.
