ML Trained Models stucked in downloading status

I'm having issues downloading trained models from Kibana.. I have setup the cluster using file based access and have both elser_model_2 and elser_model_2_linux-x86_64 and is currently downloading from Kibana, but it is stucked in downloading status for several hours now.. can someone please help to check if there's anyway for us to proceed with this?

Thanks for reaching out, @jeffwasright. Is this issue still occuring?

I have a few follow up questions here:

  • What version of Elastic are you using?
  • Have you tried canceling the task and trying again.

yes, we are still facing this issue, I'm using v8.11 with platinum license, I've tried to cancel and retried multiple times but still not able to.. as per the logs, I can see this below.. we are trying to do this via file based access.. please help to check, thank you

@jeffwasright, I had a chance to chat with a coworker on my end, and I have a few more follow-up questions:

  • Are you using a local model registry or have any further customizations?
  • If you repeatedly attempt to download the models, does it fail each time?
  • Is there any chance there's a proxy involved?

hi @jessgarson , we have sorted this out, it was because of the file download, there were some issues with the browser stating that file download completed but it's not, hence the error we are getting.. thanks for checking.
